I-DOC (Investigation Documentation System)

I-DOC

PART OF THE INVESTIGATION AND FACT-FINDING TOOLKIT

I-DOC Strengthens fact-work to document and investigate gross human rights violations and core international crimes, including analysis, investigation, case preparation, trial and subsequent proceedings.

  • Identify, collect, verify, corroborate, summarise and synthesise facts and evidence;
  • Catalogue essential information categories: evidence, incidents, context, persons (suspects, victims and witnesses), institutions, protected property and objects;
  • Analyse according to specific legal frameworks (state, federal, regional, international);
  • Overview of information categories: map geographic and time patterns, generate linkages and statistics;
  • Construct reports, legal complaints, ICC communications, outreach, criminal and human rights cases using information categories;
  • Links to Case Matrix / CICD analysis of Core International Crime legal requirements and means of proof.

I-DOC builds on the logical and conceptual framework of the ICC Case Matrix.
