The CMN and our Advisers bring a wealth of experience in the development of information-management databases for international crime adjudication, as well as the provision of technical assistance, training and capacity development in international and national jurisdictions, including in territorial States. Our work builds on and strengthens the taxonomies developed in the ICC Case Matrix and the ICC Legal Tools Database, to provide toolkits that strengthen national criminal judicial systems by helping to reduce legal and resource constraints.

The CMN believes that the capacity of national criminal justice actors can be significantly enhanced through free, universal access to legal information. Because such information is not usually available free of charge, jurisdictions with fewer resources or less experience in international crime adjudication are often precluded from accessing it. By offering such access, the Toolkits empower such actors to overcome the challenges restricting their capacity to pursue justice for mass atrocities.
